First Tee — Metro Atlanta equips youth in underserved communities with transformative mentors, safe environments, and integrated programming where the game of golf mirrors life - building lifelong habits that strengthen mental well-being, physical health, character, and connection.
Today, youth mental well-being is one of Atlanta's most urgent challenges.
- More than 1 in 10 Atlanta Public Schools high school students have seriously considered attempting suicide*
- 1 in 5 children in Atlanta lives in poverty**
These realities require more than reactive solutions. They call for trusted mentors, safe spaces, and prevention-focused programs that strengthen young people before they reach a crisis.
Our response: CHANGE COURSE - a five-year fundraising and advocacy campaign that expands access to prevention-focused youth development through the game of golf.
Your investment helps First Tee — Metro Atlanta ensure more young people have access to caring mentors, regular physical activity, and experiences that strengthen the whole child—mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally.
Golf is the vehicle.
Access to the game creates opportunities for physical activity, healthy habits, lifelong wellness, and experiences that build confidence, resilience, and character on and off the course
Relationships are the catalyst.
Trusted coaches and mentors transform every round, lesson, and conversation into opportunities for young people to develop resilience, confidence, empathy, and the skills to navigate life's challenges.
Whole-child development is the outcome.
Young people build emotional well-being, physical health, social connection, and strong character - equipping them to thrive on the course, in school, at home, in their communities, and throughout their lives.
